Saintsmart TPU
« on: June 06, 2016, 07:04:25 PM »
Can someone explain how to load flexible filament such as Saintsmart TPU?

I tried but it jammed and blocked the extruded, I have had to disassemble the extruded to remove the filament.

Thanks for your help

Sainsmart TPU has worked for me every time on my v1 and v3 M200s. I use a 0.4mm nozzle and 235 - 245ยบ extrusion temperature, never any wrapping on the gear. I've had reports of success from other users as well.

Other TPU/TPE materials from Ninja, Fila, TreeD, and eSun have had problems with wrapping around the gear, but Sainsmart has been a winner for me.

I'm using the Kyoto flex TreeD filaments, with nozzle 0.5, no problem with the gear, I have to try to use the nozzle 0.4.
The filament is normally loaded, for now no problem.

Which color(s) are you using? I've only tried yellow, orange, and red. I did use clear "FlexSolid" from MadeSolid and it worked too, but print quality didn't seem as good as Sainsmart.

OK, Got it! The screw on the extruder gear was loose and at some time it stopped to turn giving the look of a blocked filament.

First TPU part is printing right now.

Thx to all of you.
