PTFE or all metal HE with Colorfab Copperfill
« on: January 11, 2018, 05:39:46 AM »
I am looking into printing with Colorfab Copperfill. The colorfab site suggests using an all metal hot end due to the increased friction of the filament, while the Z-Temp site says the all metal hot end should not be used for PLA. Which hot end would be best. Thanks

I never had any luck with any colorFabb PLA/PHA material with the Zortrax v2 hot end, so I doubt it will work with the all-metal ZT-HE, although I haven't tried it. It just has too much expansion in my experience. I'd go with the PTFE, and use as low a temperature as possible.
