I would say yes. If the ZT-HE would behave somehow in another way for PLA (= having a bigger distance to the buildplate after self-reference) then that would
also be true for ABS and this would result in the ABS not sticking to the build plate !

Yes I use it, with PLA and FLex filaments,but i would try to not use it

I use it for everything except ABS. Sometimes I forget with PLA or others and it does work, but other times there is clicking on the first layer or nozzle-dragging on the second layer, and this can end up making the raft more difficult to remove.

I'm having no problem at all without it.

I'm seeing nice first layers and good prints pretty much despite whatever PLA I put through it.

I do warm the bed up then switch it off before starting the print though.

I do see varying degrees of difficulty removing the raft though, even with the same filament.
