Hi all
ive just knocked myself up a top cover for my m200. it works a treat!
I found it to be useful to stabilise temperatures and virtually elimainate warpage on large coverage prints. It also dumbs down the fan noise too.
Its produced in durable PETG, very easily installed and has a lift up lid. I can also supply fixings and brackets
There are others on the market which are ridiculously expensive and OTT.

what are peoples thoughts?

What is the temperature inside?

hi nagisa
i thought i replied to this.
If im honest. i dont know. but the key thing is that it stabilises the ambient temperature and reduces warping. Not being a scientist most if not all my mods are doing through trial and error. The lid is not completely sealed as the point for me was to control the temp and not necessarily fumes as i know some enclosures do.
Im a finding my extruder motors is getting very hot at the moment as ive been doing lots of long prints.
anyone looked at cooling fans for this? i reckon i could split the hot end cooling fan with this.
cheers

Be aware that the AD8495 thermocouple amplifier used by Zortrax on the little PCB that mounts just above the extruder stepper is only rated for operation to 50ºC. The stepper runs very close to this temperature even without an enclosure. This is a critical component in the extruder temperature control system. The AD 8495 can be replaced with an AD8497, which is rated to 100ºC.

ive had a look for the amplifier but cant see it. theres no sign on top. underneath there is a chip. is it this?

Yes, the amplifier IC and other components are on the bottom.
