Materials Compatibility / Re: PolyMax raft removal

Does anyone try the trick to put the piece in the freezer for a quarter or half an hour?

For me its ok with blueprint or Z glas material as well as for abs on very small parts.

If it can help!  8)

Hello Julia, I'm also trying to design an insert for the feeding motor cage in order to avoid the shrinking of soft filaments like on MK8 or MK9 heads, and guide them in the feeding line.
I've no real time actually to finish it but stay tuned, I think this should be ok by the mid of november!

All the best.

Materials Compatibility / Printing PLA without RAFT
« on: October 16, 2016, 01:18:57 PM »
With a pause in Z-suite, after having eliminated the substrate before starting the printing, you just add a pause after the raft printing. Once stopped,  load your filament, after having put a 1.5mm plastic sheet , then continue!

You just have saved the raft printing matérial!  :D

Dear Julia,
I also tried with PLA and it also works like a charm.
I usally use esun PLA.

Of course, for Ninjaflex and PLA semiflex, you need the Ztemp-HE head for a good printing with a 0.5 mm nozzle.

For me best results are obtained with 0.29mm layer, ABS profile and -70°C.

All the best to all.

You're right Julia, but it is very easy tu cut it properly with a new cutter blade!

French people can have good ideas sometimes!  :D

I tried without removing the shrink tubing with semiflex and ninjaflex and it works for both.
I'm actually trying with woodfill. No click at all.
I also tried abs with the modified bearing and it was also ok.
May be with PC it should be better to remove the shrink tubing around the bearing  ::).

Hope it helps!

All the best from France.

Something very easy to do that works perfectly for me.  ;)
Just use some shrink tubing 1/4" diameter around the ball bearings.
I'm actually trying it with ninja flex. It seems to work except for the raft. I'l try to make the raft in semi flex then changing the filament and print in ninjaflex.

All the best to all
